Peace Dialogues for Sustainable Responsible Investment in Mindanao

What It Is

Last August 18, 2008 in Davao City, the GRP-LGU-Business Sector Dialogue came up with the Mindanao Business Declaration for Peace and Development. This Declaration seeks to actively involve Mindanao's business sector in moving for more sustainable peace that will open the doors to more growth and opportunity in Mindanao.

In light of this, the Mindanao Business Council (MinBC), The Asia Foundation (TAF), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), as well as local government units and chambers of commerce will be holding a series of Peace Dialogues for Sustainable Responsible Investment in Mindanao (PD-SRI) across different industry clusters in the island. The goal of the Dialogues is to engage the different stakeholders in Mindanao to discuss issues that relate to Mindanao's general level of peace and development, with the end view of creating a business climate that is more conducive to sustainable investments and growth where all Mindanaoans can live harmoniously and share in Mindanao's abundant resources.
